မိုးမခခရီးသြား ဓာတ္ပုံအက္ေဆးမ်ား

ေႏြးေႏြး၊ မတ္ ၁၁၊ ၂၀၁၃
Las Vegas. For
me, It comes with slot machines, lights, buildings and people. But, this time
it was different. I visited the Nevada's oldest (1935) and largest state
park which was an hour drive from vegas.
လပ္စ္ေဗးဂတ္စ္
(Las Vegas) ဆိုတာ က်မအတြက္ကေတာ့ အေၾကြေစ့စက္ေတြ၊ မီးထိန္ထိန္ေတြ၊
တိုက္တာၾကီးေတြနဲ႔ လူထူထူေတြလို႔ပဲ ျမင္မိတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ဒီတေခါက္ေတာ့ျဖင့္ မတူ
ထူးျခားတယ္လို႔ ဆိုရမယ္။ ေဗးဂတ္ျမိဳ့ေတာ္နဲ႔ ၁ နာရီ ကားေမာင္းသြားရင္ ေရာက္တဲ့
နီဗားဒါးျပည္နယ္ရဲ့ ေရွးအက်ဆုံး ၁၉၃၅ ကတည္းက စတင္ခဲ့တဲ့ အၾကီးဆုံး သဘာ၀ဥယ်ာဥ္ကို
က်မ သြားလည္ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
In the morning,
I picked up my friend who was a local and never heard of
it before. We drove north and it was not very exciting for both of
us. Flat land and mountains in a distance. Then, all of a sudden the road went
down in between mountains. I kind of like driving right there.
မနက္ခင္းမွာ
ေဒသခံက်မသူငယ္ခ်င္းကို ၀င္ေခၚျပီးေတာ့ ခရီးကို စတင္တယ္။ သူကိုယ္တိုင္ေတာင္ တခါမွ
မၾကားဖူးဘူးတဲ့ေလ။ က်မတို႔ ေျမာက္ဖက္ကို ဦးတည္ျပီး ကားေမာင္းထြက္ခဲ့တယ္။ က်မတို႔
၂ ဦးစလုံး စိတ္လႈပ္ရွားေနၾကတယ္။ လြင္ျပင္က်ယ္ေတြန႔ဲ ေတာင္တန္းေတြကို အေ၀းမွာ
ေတြ႔ရတယ္။ ျပီးေတာ့ ခ်က္ခ်င္းလိုလိုပဲ လမ္းဟာ ေတာင္ေတြၾကားထဲကို
နိမ့္ဆင္းသြားေတာ့တယ္။ အဲလိုမ်ဳိး ကားေမာင္းရတာ က်မကေတာ့ အၾကိဳက္သားပဲ။
In addition, the
color of rocks were red and the road was just leading to it. Fun to drive! The
weather was almost perfect which made me happy. We first stopped at Beehives.
Naturally, the rock looked like a beehive. My friend and I tried to climbed up
and it was easy.
ဒါ့အျပင္
ေက်ာက္သားေတြက အနီေရာင္၊ လမ္းက ေက်ာက္ေတာင္ေတြဆီကို ဦးတည္သြားတယ္။ ကားေမာင္းရတာ
ေပ်ာ္စရာ။ ရာသီဥတုကလည္း သာယာေနတာကလည္း ပါတာေပါ့။ က်မတုိ႔ ပ်ားအုံေတာင္မွာ ပထမဆုံး
ကားကို ရပ္လိုက္တယ္။ သဘာ၀ကိုယ္တိုင္က ေက်ာက္ေတာင္ကို ပ်ားအုံေတြလိုမ်ဳိးျဖစ္ေအာင္
ဖန္ဆင္းထားတယ္။ အဲသည္ေက်ာက္ေတြေပၚကို တက္ၾကည့္ရတာ က်မတို႔အတြက္ ေအးေဆးပါပဲ။
Atlati Rock was the next stop. We saw ancient Indian rock art, petroglyphs. Amazing. I saw animal drawings, human figures, and a few unexplainable symbols. It also included a description of the atlatl, a notched stick used to throw primitive spears. The atlatl was a predecessor to the bow and arrow. ( You could look at the photo and find it. ) We droved by the Arch Rock. Too bad, it wasn't allow to climb up.
Atlatl Rock
(အက္လာတီေက်ာက္ေတာင္) က ေနာက္စခန္းေပါ့။ အဲသည္မွာ ဌာန
အင္ဒီးယန္းေရွးေဟာင္းလူမ်ဳိးေတြရဲ့ ေက်ာက္နဲ႔အႏုပညာလက္ရာေတြ (Petroglyphs) ကို
ေတြ႔ရတယ္။ တိရစာၦန္ပုံေတြ၊ လူပုံေတြ၊ ဘာမွန္းမသိရတဲ့ ပုံေတြ အမ်ဳိးမ်ဴိးပဲ။
အဲသည္မွာ စာနဲ႔လည္း ရွင္းျပထားတာေတြ ရွိတယ္။ Atlatl ဆိုတာက လက္နဲ႔လႊဲျပီး လွံကို
ျမားသဖြယ္ ပစ္ရတဲ့
ေရွးေဟာင္းလွံတံေတြေပါ့။ ျပီးေတာ့ က်မတို႔ Arch Rock ဆိုတဲ့ သဘာ၀ ေက်ာက္အခုံးေတြ
မုဒ္ဦးေတြလိုမ်ဳိးျဖစ္ေနတာေတြဆီ ေရာက္တယ္။ အဲသည္ေက်ာက္ေတာင္ေတြအေပၚကိုေတာ့
က်မတို႔ တက္ခြင့္မရတာ ဆိုးတာပဲ။
As soon as we start the scenic drive, my friend said one word. "Wow". It was so beautiful to me. As a driver it was like euphoria. You could see the the winding road all the way. And, it was surrounding by the red rocks. Mesmerizing! Nature fascinated me one more time. The color of the rock were orangy red. When we stopped at the Mouse's Tank, we were lucky to see two mountain goats. I climbed the most I could to take the pictures. My friend started to make his own version of goat sound. Fair enough, they were curious. We saw the entire group.
က်မတို႔ကား
ရႈခင္းသာလမ္း (Scenic drive) ေပၚေမာင္းတက္လိုက္တဲ့အခ်ိန္မွာပဲ က်မသူငယ္ခ်င္းဆီက
"ဟာ …" ဆိုတဲ့ အသံတသံသာ ျပဳလိုက္ႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ က်မအတြက္ တကယ္ကို
ရင္သတ္ရႈေမာဖြယ္ပါပဲ။ ကားေမာင္းေနသူအတြက္ ဒီျမင္ကြင္းဟာ မ်က္စိထဲက မထြက္ႏိုင္တဲ့
အလွရသကို ေပးပါတယ္။ အေကြ႔အေကာက္ေတြနဲ႔ လမ္းကို မ်က္စိတဆုံး ေရွ႔တူရႈမွာ
ေတြ႔ေနရတယ္။ အေကြ႔အေကာက္လမ္းေတြကို ၀န္းရံထားတာက အနီေရာက္ေက်ာက္ေဆာင္ေတြ၊
မင္သက္သြားသလိုပဲ။ သဘာ၀တရားက က်မတို႔ကို စိတ္ခ်မ္းေျမ့မႈေတြကို
ဆက္တိုက္ေပးေနေတာ့တာပဲ။ ေက်ာက္ေတြရဲ့အေရာင္က လိေမၼာ္ေရာင္စြက္တဲ့ အနီ။ က်မတို႔
Mouse Tank ေနရာမွာ ရပ္ၾကျပန္တယ္။ ကံေကာင္းေထာက္မျပီး က်မတို႔ ေတာင္ဆိတ္ ၂
ေကာင္ကို ေတြ႔ရတယ္။ က်မလည္း အတတ္ႏိုင္ဆုံးေနရာကို တက္ျပီးေတာ့ ဓာတ္ပုံေတြ
ရိုက္တယ္။ က်မသူငယ္ခ်င္းက သူ႔နည္းသူ႔ဟန္တဲ့ ဆိတ္ေအာ္သံေတြ လုပ္လိုက္တယ္။
ဟုတ္ပါရဲ့။ ဆိတ္ေတြကလည္း စပ္စုတတ္တယ္။ က်မတို႔ ဆိတ္အုတ္ၾကီးတခုလုံးကို
ေတြ႔လိုက္ရတယ္။
After that, we
parked the car and hiked up to see the Petroglyph Canyon. We saw one
family hiked back to the parking. They were talking about wather. Hiking in the
sand was harder but my friend passed me. He was excited and it was his first
hike. There was one bush of flowers that attracted me. The color of those
flowers were like the color of the sand. It was spiky also. The trail ended and
there was a natural basin in the rock where water collected after
rainfalls.
အဲဒါျပီးေတာ့
က်မတို႔ ကားကိုရပ္ျပီး Petroglyph Canyon ကိုၾကည့္ဖို႔ ေျခက်င္သြားၾကရတယ္။ လမ္းမွာ
ေျခက်င္ခရီးက ျပန္ဆင္းလာတဲ့ မိသားစုတစုနဲ႔ ေတြ႔တာ။ သူတို႔က
ရာသီဥတုအေၾကာင္းေျပာေနၾကတယ္။ သဲေျမမွာ Hiking ေျခလ်င္ေတာင္တက္ လုပ္ရတာ
မလြယ္ဘူးဆိုေပမယ့္ က်မသူငယ္ခ်င္းကေတာ့ က်မကို ေက်ာ္တက္သြားျပီ။ သူ႔အတြက္ ပထမဦးဆုံး
hiking ေျခလ်င္ေတာင္တက္အေတြ႔အၾကဳံဆိုေတာ့ သူက အရမ္းကို တက္ၾကြေနတယ္ေလ။
အဲသည္လမ္းမွာ က်မအတြက္ စိတ္၀င္စားစရာက ပန္းျခဳံေလးတျခဳံျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ပန္းရဲ့အေရာင္က
သဲေျမရဲ့ အေရာင္အတိုင္းပဲ။ သူ႔မွာလည္း ဆူးေတြရွိတယ္။ အဲသည္လူသြားလမ္းေလးအဆုံးမွာ
ေက်ာက္ေတာင္ေတြၾကားထဲက သဘာ၀ခ်ဳိင့္၀ွမ္းကို ေတြ႔တယ္။ အဲသည္ထဲမွာ ရြာထားတဲ့မိုးေတြ
ရွိေနေသးတယ္။
We tried to
looked for the petroglyphs. Finally, we found two little figure. My friend sat
down and I took pictures of the rock. It was a short tail but it made you tired
easily. We walked back looking at the rock. At last, we found numerous
petroglyphs. At Rainbow Vista, I hiked all by myself. There was only a few
cactus plants and me.

ခု ေတြ႔တယ္။ အဲသည္ေက်ာက္မ်က္ႏွာျပင္ကို ဓာတ္ပုံရိုက္ခဲ့တယ္။ လမ္းေလ်ာက္သြားရတာ
တိုတိုေလးဆိုေပမယ့္ က်မတို႔အတြက္ကေတာ့ ျမန္ျမန္ပင္ပန္းတယ္။ အဲဒါျပီးေတာ့
ျပန္လွည့္လာခဲ့ၾကတယ္။ ေနာက္ေတာ့ အဲသည္ ေက်ာက္ထြင္းပန္းခ်ီလက္ရာေတြ အမ်ားၾကီးကို
ေတြ႔ခဲ့ၾကပါတယ္။ Raindow vista ဆိုတဲ့ ရႈခင္းသာစခန္းမွာေပါ့။ က်မတဦးတည္း
ေျခလ်င္သြားခဲ့တယ္။ အဲသည္မွာ ကႏၱာရပင္ေတြနဲ႔ က်မပဲ ရွိတယ္။
I looked around
and saw the rainbow. Astonishingly colorful. Then, we droved to White Domes. We
sat down and ate sticky rice and boiled beans with coconut topping ( Kauk nyin
paung, pea pyote and ohn thee) for lunch. It was delicious.
က်မတို႔
ေလ်ာက္ၾကည့္ေနတုန္းမွာ သက္တံကို ေတြ႔ရတယ္။ အရမ္းကို အေရာင္ေတြစုံေနတာပါပဲ။
ျပီးေတာ့ က်မတို႔ ေပါင္းမိုးျဖဳ (white domes) ေတြဆီကို ေမာင္းသြားရတယ္။ အဲသည္မွာ
ေကာက္ညင္းေပါင္း၊ ပဲျပဳတ္နဲ႔ အုန္းသီးျဖဴးျပီးေတာ့ စားၾကတယ္။ စားေကာင္းလိုက္တာ။
On the way back,
I stopped at the visitor center. There, I saw a spider, two lizards and a
snake. The museum was interesting. You could see desert animals which I
wouldn't think of. There was a sample of indian life style too. We continued
and stoped at Seven Sisters, the seven separated rock formations in different
way. My friend and I climbed up and took pictures. We couldn't resist.
အျပန္လမ္းမွာေတာ့
ခရီးသည္မ်ားအတြက္စခန္းကို ၀င္တယ္။ အဲသည္မွာ ပင့္ကူတေကာင္၊ ဖြတ္ ၂ ေကာင္နဲ႔
ေျမြတေကာင္ကို ေတြ႔တယ္။ အဲသည္က ျပခန္းက စိတ္၀င္စားစရာပါပဲ။ က်မတို႔ မျမင္ဖူးတဲ့
ကႏၱာရတိရစာၦန္ေတြကို ေတြ႔ရတယ္။ အဲသည္မွာ ေဒသခံလူနီေတြရဲ့ ေနထိုင္မႈပုံစံကိုလည္း
ေတြ႔ရတယ္။ က်မတို႔ ခရီးဆက္ျပီး Seven Sisters (ညီအမ ၇ ေဖာ္) ေနရာကို ေရာက္တယ္။
ဖြဲ႔စည္းပုံခ်င္း မတူဘဲ တည္ရွိေနတဲ့ ေက်ာက္ေဆာင္ ၇ ခုကို ေတြ႔ရတယ္။ အဲသည္
ညီအမေတြေပၚ တက္ျပီး က်မတို႔ ဓာတ္ပုံရိုက္ၾကတယ္။ ကိုယ့္ကိုယ္ကုိယ္ မတားႏိုင္ပါဘူး။
In a little
drive, we saw a lady sitting and reading a book. So quiet and it must feel good
in the sun. I had to come back and try that. We passed by Clark Memorial, a
white color historic monument of an early traveler. The sun was going down. We
headed back to Vegas. There was one little stop I needed to do.
ေနာက္သိပ္မၾကာခင္မွာပဲ
က်မတို႔ စာဖတ္ေနတဲ့ အမ်ဳိးသမီးတဦးကို လမ္းမွာ ေတြ႔ျပန္တယ္။ တိတ္ဆိတ္တဲ့
ေနေရာင္ေအာက္မွာ အေတာ္ကို ဟန္က်မယ္လို႔ ထင္တယ္။ က်မလည္း ေနာက္တခါျပန္လာျပီး အဲသလို
စာလာဖတ္ဦးမွပဲလို႔ ေတြးမိတယ္။ Clark Memorial ကို က်မတို႔ ျဖတ္သြားရတယ္။
ေရွးဦးကာလ ခရီးသြားေတြအတြက္ အထိမ္းအမွတ္ စိုက္ထူထားတဲ့ သမိုင္း၀င္ေမာ္ကြန္းတိုင္
ရွိတယ္ေလ။ ေနက က်ေနျပီ။ က်မတို႔ ေဗးဂတ္စ္ကို လွည့္ျပန္ခဲ့ၾကတယ္။ အဲသည္မွာ က်မအတြက္
ေခတၱရပ္စရာ ေနရာေလးတေနရာ ရွိေသးတယ္ေလ။
The Red Rock,
the popular destination. We droved though it. I saw a few rock climbers. It was
a loop drive and I saw the Vegas in a distance. The sunset was beautiful. But,
today, the Valley of the Fire won my heart. I definitely got to drive that road
again.
အဲဒါကေတာ့ ေက်ာက္ေဆာင္နီ (Red Rock) လို႔ေခၚတဲ့ လူသိမ်ားတဲ့ေနရာေပါ့။ အဲသည္ကို
က်မတို႔ ျဖတ္သြားတယ္။ အဲသည္မွာ ေက်ာက္ေတာင္တက္သမားအခ်ဳိ႔ကို ေတြ႔တယ္။ အဲသည္က ပတ္လမ္းျဖစ္ျပီး
ေဗးဂတ္စ္ျမိဳ့ေတာ္ကို လွမ္းျမင္ေနရတယ္။ ေန၀င္ခ်ိန္ဟာ အလြန္ကို သာယာလွပပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ္
က်မအတြက္က က်မတို႔သြားခဲ့တဲ့ Valley of the Fire (မီးလ်ံေတာင္ၾကား) က ဖမ္းစားသြားခဲ့ျပီ။
က်မကေတာ့ မျဖစ္မေနကို ေနာက္တေခါက္ ကားေမာင္းျပီး သြားဦးမယ္။
